Ye Highlands and ye Lowlands, | Oh, where hae ye been? | They hae slain the Earl O' Moray, | And Lady Mondegreen. [
And laid him o' the green]

Google Maps Mobile Nav feature (for good reason) is being touted as crushing for the incumbent (usually over-priced) nav companies. So would it have been legal for Google to have foreseen this, and shorted the stocks of those companies?
It looks like Garmin already took a hit two days ago after the news came out as did tomtom but Garmin still has a long way to fall but more research woudl be needed.
In my day, we didn't need navigation systems. You went to RandMcNally.com and printed out the directions step by step. That's the way it was done and we liked it that way.
It would have been totally legal and very smart and maybe it's not too late to short them.
